About The Role

‍As a NZ Qualified Carpenter, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the execution of precise and high-quality carpentry work. Your role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, framing construction, trim work, accurate measurements, material selection, safety compliance, and collaboration with fellow team members. Our client has decades of experience behind a multi generational family run Canterbury business.

What You Will Be Doing:‍

• Install floors, including wood floors, concrete and other flooring types
• Repair existing property elements where possible.
• All aspects of residential & commercial carpentry, from foundations to finish.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Perform framing, installation of structures, and rough carpentry work as per specifications.
• Install doors, windows, molding, and other finishing carpentry elements
• Safety compliance
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including architects, project managers, and fellow carpenters

What We Require:‍

• Proven experience as a qualified Carpenter with recognized certification.
• Full set of carpentry tools needed
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team
• Can-do attitude & the ability to work unsupervised.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Current Site Safe - we can assist with this.
• Class 1 license and reliable transport
• Strong attention to H&S.
• Good level of physically fitness.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
