About The Role:
Our client is seeking experienced Carpenters and Hammer-Hands to join their teams on various Commercial and Residential construction projects across Christchurch. As a Carpenter or Hammer-Hand, you will work on multiple sites, including schools’ projects, hospitals, water and electrical substations, gyms, multi-unit housing, and churches. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your carpentry expertise to diverse and up and coming construction projects.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, tilt panels, mid floors, wall linings, villa board, cladding, gib board, doors, windows, roof timber, skylights, and other internal and external carpentry work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, metal, and other construction materials according to project specifications.
- Construct and repair structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to ensure proper coordination and execution of carpentry work.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of workmanship, adhering to building codes and safety regulations.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe work environment.
What We Need from You:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or Hammer-Hand
- Full set of tools
- Ability to work on multiple sites and adapt to different project requirements.
- Familiarity with carpentry techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Valid Site Safe- we can assist with this
- Class 1 driver's license preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
